Letter On Friendship

Friendshsip is fairly easy to find when you remove yourself from the guilt and shame you may have as it relates to relationships. Many times the mind will say "I'm not worthy of a friendship"; maybe it'll say "no one will like me I'm boring. I must work in order to not be boring anymore." And so, often times we get caught in riding this wave of the mind into doing more and more, to acquire more and more, not realizing we are becoming less by doing so. In order to do what? Impress others with the things that we have and to hide the things we don't? My friend, nothing is hidden from the Spirit that is seemingly across from you. Even if they are not aware, at some level what they actually are is. And no amount of facade will fulfill friendship; it would at that point be based on illusion; you'll often times wonder to yourself is this real and 'grasp at straws' to keep them around. So how do you find a real friend; at it's deepest level you start by becoming what you truly are & letting go of what you are truly not.
